Kollmorgen Shaft Installation (KSI)

At the heart of KSI is the shaft installation assistant, a PC-software that allows the quick design of a shaft cable harness using the relevant technical specifications.

The shaft installation assistant automatically calculates the corresponding cable lengths, clamp designations, and cable colors. In addition, the cable harness is optimized with respect to the selected cable material, which contributes to a minimal cost solution. When manufacturing the cable harness, the data from the shaft installation assistant serves as a template.

All cables are cut precisely according to their specifications, and are marked with a label indicating where they are to be placed. In addition, the color-coding of the cable harness corresponds to the cable colors used in the control system.
