The Kollmorgen Load Measurement Device is based on longimetry, and was designed especially for cable lifts. The cabin is usually connected to the cables by means of dampers, springs, or shock mounts. These dampers change length depending on the cabin load. In this way, the weight in the cabin can be determined based on the length of the dampers.
